THE STORY BEHIND LONCRYA Thoughtful Wish,
One Steady Step Forward
01 · A friend's belief
The story of LONCRY began with a crystal bracelet—and with a friend who offered me his belief at a time when I had very little of my own.
This friend has always loved crystals and the good wishes they can carry. To me, he has always been kind, optimistic, and full of enthusiasm for life. When he wants to do something, he gives it a sincere try. Even when the outcome falls short of his hopes, he does not stay caught in disappointment for long. He seems able to accept life's occasional pauses and then find his footing again.
I used to admire that quality in him. For me, working hard was not the difficult part. What was difficult was continuing to believe in myself when that effort did not seem to lead anywhere.
The birthday wish
One year, on my birthday, he gave me a crystal bracelet.
At the time, I was going through a difficult period in my career. My business was losing money, work occupied most of my time, and every day brought new problems to solve. I kept my schedule full, believing that if I worked a little harder and moved a little faster, I would find my way out sooner. But the more urgently I tried to change things, the more easily each immediate result unsettled me. Even at the end of the day, I found it hard to truly relax.
When he gave me the bracelet, he told me it represented “steady progress.”
Those words did not solve any of my problems. But they offered a different way forward: perhaps I did not have to force everything to get better at once. Finding my footing and taking the next step with care was also a way of moving forward.
More than a bracelet
At first, I did not believe a crystal bracelet could offer what people called healing. What I liked was the bracelet itself—its color, its shine, and the way it fitted naturally into my everyday outfits. So I wore it often, without expecting it to bring any particular change.
But sometimes, the meaning of a gift becomes clearer as we live with it.
At first, it was simply a bracelet I liked. Over time, it also became something that held that birthday wish. When I looked down at it, I would remember my friend's words. I would remember that someone understood what I was going through and still believed I could keep going. Those days without immediate results began to hold more than frustration. They also held a little more patience for myself.
02 · Almost a year later
Later, work and life kept us busy in different ways. Almost a year passed before we met again.
His first words when he saw me were, “Wow, you seem like a different person. You look so much less anxious and tired. You seem so much better overall.”
I laughed and replied, “Do I? Maybe things just haven't been as stressful lately.”
But when I looked back over that year, I realized that things really had changed.
Small steps, real change
My business had gradually moved from losses to a healthy return. The days of feeling constantly overwhelmed had begun to change, too. I had time to exercise and do things I enjoyed, instead of giving all my energy to work. Life and business still brought problems to solve, but I could approach them more calmly and had begun to reclaim some space for myself.
There was no single moment when those changes happened. They were woven into the days when I kept going, into the adjustments and choices I made along the way. Only when someone pointed them out did I realize how far I had already come.
What the gift meant
I cannot attribute all of this to the bracelet. Perhaps my efforts were beginning to pay off. Perhaps time had taught me how to adjust. Perhaps there was a little good fortune, too. But I began to understand why my friend's gift had stayed with me.
It held a very personal kind of care. When I felt I was not doing well enough, someone hoped I would not judge myself only by my immediate successes and failures. When I was rushing to catch up, someone reminded me that moving slowly could still mean moving forward.
03 · The beginning of LONCRY
That experience became the starting point for LONCRY.
I began to wonder whether I could carry that same care into pieces that more people would want to wear and give. A piece could be beautiful to look at and meaningful to keep close. It could accompany everyday life, hold a wish, or remind its wearer of a direction they wanted to follow.
That is why LONCRY hopes to create pieces that connect with everyday life. Their colors and details invite you to look closer; the care they carry gives you a reason to keep them. You may choose a piece simply because you love it, or give it a meaning of your own. It might be an expression of care for a friend, or a reminder to yourself: be patient, make room for what you love, and continue at your own pace.
A wish to pass on
Once, I received a bracelet and a wish to keep moving steadily forward. Today, through LONCRY, I hope to pass that care on.
From the care one person gives to the companionship another chooses to treasure, this is the connection LONCRY hopes to create.
May every piece you choose hold a wish worth believing in. And as you wear it, may you find your footing and keep moving forward, gently, at your own pace.
